The fifteen look women’s and menswear collection were made of up-cycled materials from the design house and Hyundai Transys car seats as well as organic cotton Cradle to Cradle Certified Gold Dylan denim.

An exercise in sustainability for the car retailer and business-as-usual for the sustainable womenswear brand. The relaxed styles feature loose silhouettes with modern touches and Asian inspired design.

The jovial crowd convened at Public Kitchen at PUBLIC Hotel on the Lower East Side, indulging on bites, cocktails, and gossip. But it was former Sex and the City actress, Sarah Jessica Parker who held court when she arrived svelte in a custom Re:Style jumpsuit for the event. Other notable attendees included Miss J Alexander and celebrity stylist, Ty Hunter.

The whole idea is to do something creative with things that have had a life before,” says Maria Cornejo. “It’s about making something new and re-imagining things. Re-create, re-imagine, re-cycle. How do we get creative with less?” Committed to lessening their eco-footprint, Hyundai will soon be heading to China for Beijing Fashion Week to introduce Re:Style to the Asian market.

In addition to the capsule collection, Hyundai and Zero + Maria Cornejo have also designed a run of limited-edition T-shirts that will be sold in-store and online.
