The collection, a brainchild of a collaboration between MAGAZIN and some of the most forward-thinking designers of our time, challenges the norms of traditional furniture.

Drawing inspiration from the robust and unyielding aesthetics of maritime containers, the Container DS series is a bold statement in both form and function. This innovative series isn't just about storage; it's about redefining spaces, be it the coziness of a living room or the formality of an office setting. Each piece is a canvas, waiting to be adorned with personal touches, from elegant porcelain to eclectic office supplies.

Each piece is a meticulous blend of design and utility, echoing the textures of folded steel and the sleekness of modern architecture. The doors of the containers, designed with a precision that borders on the obsessive, seamlessly integrate into the unit, embodying a philosophy where design isn't just seen but felt.

The collection's versatility is showcased through its diverse range of models. The classic Container DS resonates with a timeless elegance, a chameleon adapting to and enhancing its surroundings. The flat version reimagines spatial utility, offering a sleek, expansive surface. The Container DS Klein, with its slender silhouette, introduces an element of sophistication, perfect for more intimate spaces. The grandeur of the Container DS Plus stands as a celebration of functional luxury, a testament to MAGAZIN's dedication to design that's both enduring and versatile.

The Container DS series is a narrative in itself, each piece telling its own story, a dialogue between the user and the space. It's about creating a personal relationship with our surroundings, where each item is not just a piece of furniture but a part of our daily lives, an extension of our personal style and ethos.

Louis Vuitton x Carlos Alcaraz
A Grand Slam of Style in a Trunk

written Abraham Cruzado

Paris, the city of lights, fashion, and now, an iconic fusion of sports and luxury. In a move that blurs the lines between athletic prowess and high-end fashion, Louis Vuitton has teamed up with Carlos Alcaraz, the powerhouse behind the 2022 US Open and 2023 Wimbledon victories, to craft a piece that's more than just a trunk – it's a treasure chest of memories and style.

This is a bespoke Malle Vestiaire, personalized to house Alcaraz's precious memorabilia and equipment. Drawing upon Louis Vuitton’s rich 170-year legacy in trunk-making, this masterpiece has been brought to life by seasoned artisans and is about crafting a legacy, one where grand slams meet grand style.

Envision a trunk, its skeleton made of carefully selected wood, swathed in the classic Monogram canvas, a hallmark of Louis Vuitton's heritage. But here's the twist – it's adorned with a unique logo inspired by Alcaraz's glittering career, each stroke of the hand-painted exterior narrating a story of triumph and passion.

The inside of the trunk is as luxurious as its exterior, featuring five microfiber-lined drawers, each with a tactile natural cowhide handle, and a central drawer, a nod to the historic Secrétaire Linge trunks. It a walk down memory lane with compartments holding the very Nike shirt and shoes Alcaraz donned during his Wimbledon win, not to mention one of his trusty Babolat rackets.

But the Alcaraz-Louis Vuitton saga doesn't end here. The trunk is a cornucopia of the tennis star’s personal LV favorites – think a chic blue Louis Vuitton Speedy P9 Bag, a gift from none other than Louis Vuitton Men’s Creative Director Pharrell Williams, and those covetable LV x Nike AF1s. Sprinkled within are Louis Vuitton accessories: tennis balls, Horizon Light Up earphones, a portable LV Nanogram speaker, a Dopp Kit toiletry bag, and a Nice Mini vanity case. This trunk is a mini-universe, a blend of sport, music, and luxury travel, with Louis Vuitton City Guides for New York and London as cherries on top.

In Alcaraz's words, this collaboration with Louis Vuitton's artisans is a “great experience and a privilege.” The trunk isn't just a container; it's a capsule of his greatest moments and a showcase of his style.

Miu Miu has always danced to the beat of its own drum, and in 2024, the beat is all about sustainable and upcycled chic with a nod to heritage.

The launch of Miu Miu's fourth limited edition Upcycled collection – featuring Denim and Patch bags – is a testament to the brand's enduring commitment to circular fashion. But that's not all. Miu Miu is also ushering in the Chinese New Year with an exclusive capsule collection that redefines festive elegance.

The Miu Miu Upcycled story, born in 2020, is about the narrative woven into each thread, the echoes of past lives that once adorned these fabrics. This collection, particularly the Denim line, is a homage to the enduring spirit of pre-2000 jeans. Sourced globally from denim connoisseurs, these pieces are chosen for their unique color, weight, and the intimate tales told by their fading patterns. Denim, a fabric celebrated for its durability and the beauty of its ageing, becomes the canvas for Miu Miu's creative expression.

Each garment, whether it's a reimagined wide-legged jean, a trucker jacket, or even the quaint bra tops and shorts, is a testament to the brand's dedication to circularity. The process is meticulous – preserving the outer seams before skillfully deconstructing and fashioning them into something new, yet familiar.

This is not just upcycling; it's a celebration of the garment's history, its journey, and its potential for a new narrative.

Drawing inspiration from the 1950s, Miu Miu reinterprets these vintage styles with a modern twist. Silk chiffon petals, facetted beads, and black crystals set in antique metal bring a touch of nostalgia, each painstakingly hand-sewn onto the garments.

And for the first time, the Upcycled project extends its arms to embrace bags. The Patch bag collection, crafted from leather remnants of previous Miu Miu designs, is an ode to the brand's legacy – transforming the existent into something extraordinary, rich with history and meaning.

The campaign, featuring actor Ever Anderson and model Huijia Chen, and captured by photographer Jet Swan, is a visual symphony of character and cloth. It's not just about the garments but the stories they tell and the personalities they embody. It’s a series of captured moments, each unique, each telling a different story.

New Era of Timeless Fashion

written Monica Mortenson

The new Prada Spring/Summer 2024 campaign, Days of Prada, stands as a vibrant testament to the enduring values and timeless elegance in an era often dominated by fleeting trends and fabricated narratives.

Under the visionary leadership of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, this campaign transcends the typical confines of fashion, weaving a narrative that celebrates the essence of style within the fabric of everyday life.

Central to Days of Prada is the reimagined concept of the fashion show. Traditionally a transient spectacle, Prada elevates it to a season-long narrative, transforming the runway into a rich ecosystem of meaning and diversity. This campaign delves into the dual nature of fashion – as both a personal badge of individuality and a communal symbol, merging momentary glamour with enduring style. It prompts a reflection on the integral role of fashion in our daily lives, skillfully blending the transient allure of the runway with the lasting impact of authentic style.

Capturing the soul of this campaign are the honest and pure portraits by photographer Willy Vanderperre. Each of the 40 models, a blend of familiar and new faces, is showcased in a balance of spontaneous intimacy and refined formalism. These portraits are form part of a collective narrative: they reflect the procession of the fashion show and engage in a broader conversation about fashion as a personal and communal expression.

Further enriching the campaign's narrative is Prada's foray into the world of cinema. Highlighting three internationally acclaimed actors – Harris Dickinson, Kelvin Harrison Jr., and Troye Sivan – the campaign celebrates their unique personal characters. Here, fashion and personal narrative intersect, with each man portrayed not just as a model but as a protagonist of their own story.

This campaign reminds us that fashion is not an isolated art form but a collaborative journey, a collective profession enriched by the diverse stories it weaves together.

In a spectacular ode to cultural connectivity and the celestial dance of fashion, Louis Vuitton's Pre-Fall 2024 Men's Collection, designed and curated by it´s Creative Director Pharrell Williams, takes us on a journey from the sandy shores of Hawaii to the vibrant streets of Hong Kong.

LE MILE presents an exclusive exploration of this groundbreaking collection that seamlessly intertwines lunar influences, maritime aesthetics, and a celebration of global unity.

The collection unfolds as a narrative of energy-conveying garments, transcending continents and embracing the harmonious fusion of diverse influences. Pharrell Williams crafts pieces that become conduits of cultural exchange, connecting wearers to the essence of faraway beaches and vibrant city life.

Against the mesmerizing backdrop of the Avenue of Stars on Victoria Harbour, the Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2024 Men's Collection Show symbolizes the mind-expanding power of travel. The waterfront setting becomes a canvas for the celestial navigation theme, grounding Pharrell Williams' coastal upbringing in Virginia Beach.

The sailor's tale unfolds in a dandy silhouette that pays homage to the sailor's uniform. Navy aesthetics, maritime stripes, and pearl-adorned buttons create a unique language within fashion, with graphics and crests morphing into tattoos of seafarers. The narrative explores the interconnected nature of the world's waterways and the trade routes shaping global cultures.

Neptune's influence, embodied by unexpected elements and a latticed LV logo, adds a touch of Roman mythology to the collection. Williams interprets indigo denim, pearls, and washed-black workwear, infusing patterns inspired by floral shirts typical of Hawaii. This nod to Neptune reflects the lakes and fishermen of Virginia, grounding the collection in maritime symbolism.

Louis Vuitton's commitment to innovation extends to groundbreaking footwear, such as the two-tone leather LV Dandy loafer and the revolutionary 3D-printed slip-on, LV COBRA. Bags, sunglasses, and accessories, including Surfing Monogram adornments and Super Vision sunglasses, echo maritime influences.

Wooden beads, ukulele pendants, and crochet hats add a touch of resort living, creating a cohesive narrative of global wanderlust. Williams designs a dynamic cast, embodying the human connections within the collection, while the melodic "Airplane Tickets" soundtrack adds a unique layer to this immersive experience.

New Collaboration
Commission &PaulSmith
* Tribute to Archival Style & Generational Fashion

written Sarah Arendts

In the vanguard of sartorial innovation, a new collaboration emerges, blending the storied heritage of British design with the pulsating edge of New York's modern aesthetic.

The &PaulSmith series, renowned for its discerning partnerships, presents its latest venture: a limited-edition collection with the NYC-based label Commission, a dynamic fusion of archival inspiration and generational homage.

The inception of this alliance took root through the CFDA's discerning eye, planting seeds of creative camaraderie between Paul Smith and Commission's co-founders, Dylan Cao and Jin Kay. Smith, with his repository of British design ethos, finds kinship in the diasporic narrative of Cao and Kay, whose design philosophy is a tender nod to their East Asian heritage and the professional panache of the 90s.

The collection, christened ‘Commission &PaulSmith,’ unfolds as a narrative thread, binding the familial bonds of 'Father & Son' — a photographic anthology by Paul and his late father Harold Smith. The book's visual dialogues mirror the collection's essence, where Harold's "light, witty juxtapositions" meet Paul's poignant snapshots. This correlation with Cao and Kay's generational musings solidifies the collection's undercurrent.

Diving into the Paul Smith archives, the duo resurrects the vigor of the late 90s — a period Smith himself describes with evident zeal: “Tapping into new ideas is exactly why I wanted to start the &PaulSmith series, and Commission is brimming with them.” The admiration is mutual, as Dylan and Jin reflect on the archive's "mash-up of preppy, sex, and post-punk" aesthetics that profoundly resonate with their own ethos.

The tangible fruits of this collaboration are 22 masterpieces. From the sweeping wool-cashmere overcoat to the butter yellow leather field jacket, each piece is an exaggerated echo of the past, reimagined for the contemporary wardrobe. The designers inject a sense of nostalgia into the oversized silhouettes, while the color palette, rich in browns, yellows, and blacks, is electrified with vibrant reds, blues, and greens.

Distinctive to Commission are the "fatherly stripes" and the audacious red flourishes, alongside coats that reinterpret the classic mac in fabrics like padded cotton-jersey and gabardine. Their signature back yoke shape design stands as a testament to their inventive tailoring. Commission's roots in punk aesthetics intertwine with Americana through raw denim and embroidered monograms, evoking Paul Smith's own handwritten logos.

The collection will be an emblem of sartorial storytelling and a homage to cross-generational dialogue. It's not merely about the garments but the stories they embody. As Smith himself mentors Commission in business development, one sees not just a collection being crafted but a legacy being woven.

* Enchantment of Isola Bella Unveiled

written Abraham Cruzado

In the resplendent embrace of Isola Bella's Baroque allure, Louis Vuitton unveils a voyage of opulence, style, and mystique with its Cruise 2024 campaign.

The evocative Italian island, with its echoes of ancient legends and ripples of watery folklore, comes alive in a fresh narrative. This season, it's not just about the clothes or accessories; it's about the story they weave in the heart of a place so enriched with history.

English actress Emma Laird, making her campaign debut for the Maison, seems almost like a dreamer stepping into a world unknown. The opening scenes are draped in the soft golden hues of dawn, evoking an ambiance of hesitant exploration and deep-seated curiosity. Adorned in a resplendent piece from Nicolas Ghesquière’s Cruise collection, and with the coveted GO-14 bag elegantly slung over her shoulder, Laird embarks on a journey, making the island's hidden narratives her own.

Yet, she isn't alone in this whimsical exploration. Adding to the canvas of elegance and allure are models Mica Arganaraz, Valentina Castro, Ida Heiner, and Chu Wong. Each face and figure uniquely intertwines with the island's essence, manifesting the fantastical aura of the collection. The synergy is palpable; fashion and folklore dancing together in a timeless embrace.

The visuals curated by Jamie Hakesworth don't merely capture outfits; they encapsulate the very essence of Isola Bella. An island where the stories of the Borromeo family are whispered by the winds and the aquatic legends echo in every ripple of Lake Maggiore. This wasn't the Maison’s first tryst with the island. Earlier in May, the ethereal grounds of Isola Bella played host to the Louis Vuitton Cruise show. A blend of high fashion and dreamy narratives, the show was a heady mix of all things whimsical and wonderful.

Ensconced within the walls of a private abode, Miu Miu Holiday unfolds its narrative, a realm brimming with infinite potential. And who better to epitomize this sentiment than the effervescent Emma Corrin? The actor, lauded for her nuanced performances, adorns the collection with a grace only she can offer.

Picture this: a tranquil room, with plush carpets underfoot, and the air imbued with the storied aroma of antiques, each whispering tales from an era gone by. In this intimate setting, Corrin radiates an unparalleled poise. She's the modern woman - discerning, self-assured, and unapologetically herself.

But what truly sets the mood is Miu Miu's exquisite lineup. Fluid black cady flows seamlessly into tactile tweeds, while sparkling organza, adorned with crystal, teases the senses. The gloss of leather harmonizes with soft cashmere and jersey, each piece exuding a freedom, a spirited dance between vintage elegance and contemporary comfort. The reinvention doesn't stop there. Classic cardigan jackets and pencil skirts - be it micro-mini or knee-length - playfully layer over delicate lingerie, birthing juxtapositions that both intrigue and delight.

But Miu Miu's journey this Holiday isn't solitary. A harmonious collaboration with Marshall breathes life into iconic products, while a partnership with Polaroid introduces cameras enhanced with Miu Miu's signature touch via branded web camera straps.

Helmed by the astute eyes of art director Edward Quarmby and captured through the lens of photographer Zoë Ghertner, each frame is a testament to a vision. A vision steered by stylist Lotta Volkova, whose keen sense for details paints a canvas that's both vintage and vivacious.

In Miu Miu's Holiday world, the past isn't left behind; it's revered, reimagined, and reintroduced for today. It's a celebration of savoir-faire and modern innovation, a tribute to the timeless charms of glamour and elegance, and most importantly, a nod to the present and a wink at the future.

* When Mountain Dreamscapes Converse with Reality

written Monica Mortenson

A dreamlike place where snow-capped peaks kiss the azure skies and where time seems to hold its breath. It's here, in this serene valley nestled in Switzerland, that the story of Prada Linea Rossa Fall/Winter 2023 unfolds, narrating a compelling saga of action and imagination.

Guided by the artistic hand of Kris Lüdi, the campaign is more than just an advertisement; it's a journey. With visuals deeply rooted in the reality of high-performance sportswear - those masterfully crafted for winter sports - the campaign encapsulates the essence of this season's offerings.

But here’s where the narrative delves deeper: the resonant echoes of a poem in the region's native Romansh language set a profound tone. As every word sinks in, the viewer is transported between two worlds – the tangible and the dreamy.

In Engadin’s ethereal backdrop, the campaign crafts a confluence of contrasts. Traditional snowboarding gracefully co-exists with the adrenalin-pumping skeleton bobsleigh and speed skating. This dance of contrasts extends to the auditory experience as well – classical music takes an unexpected leap into the electrifying beats of modern grime.

The visuals too traverse time. Razor-sharp digital shots weave seamlessly with the nostalgic grain of film footage, leaving the viewer intrigued and reflective. Can the past morph into the present? With Prada Linea Rossa’s avant-garde perspective, it can. And not just morph – it can be reborn, refreshed, and reimagined.

As the orange and brown hues of autumn sweep across Berlin, change is in the air, and it's not just the changing of the leaves. A trailblazer in rethinking fashion’s carbon footprint, Ucon Acrobatics, is shifting the paradigm of textile production by launching its "Lotus Infinity" series.

This fall, bags and backpacks, inspired by minimalist design, will not just be another addition to the world of fashion. They are a statement. Each backpack in the "Lotus Infinity" series will reuse an impressive 850g of textile waste - a blend of 82% discarded garments and 18% industrial waste from textile production. A response to an industry notorious for being the second-largest pollutant, this innovation looks to mitigate the 10% of global carbon emissions rooted in textile manufacturing.

With disturbing data indicating that only 0.6% of textiles were recycled in 2021, the efforts of Ucon Acrobatics co-founders, Martin Fussenegger and Jochen Smuda, are timely and radical. "Every second, a truckload of textiles faces the grim fate of being either burned or landfilled," laments Fussenegger. By shifting focus from recycling PET bottles to harnessing textile waste, they're hoping to address the pressing need for sustainable production methods.

The process, as fascinating as it is revolutionary, involves transforming textile waste, especially those rich in PET, into high-quality PET granules. These are then metamorphosed into yarns, slashing CO2 emissions by 35% when contrasted with synthetic virgin polyester. The brand's commitment doesn’t stop there. Those familiar hard plastic elements and foams? They're now being substituted with felt derived from textile waste.

But, innovation isn't limited to just recycling. Ucon Acrobatics has spent close to three years perfecting a material, “PUrTEX∞”. This isn't just any 'vegan leather'. It boasts a scratch resistance upped by 100 times, completely devoid of solvents.

Taking a leaf out of nature’s playbook, Ucon Acrobatics employs a “dope dye” technique, a dyeing process that's resource-efficient. Think of a scenario where water consumption drops by 90%, chemical usage dives by 80%, and energy and CO2 emissions are halved. That’s the reality they’re creating.

The vision for 2024 is bold. Ucon Acrobatics aims to lead the textile world into an era of complete circularity. It's not just about sustainability but redefining the term. By ensuring products are recyclable at the end of their lifecycle, they're championing a movement where textiles find a new lease of life, time and time again.

For Fussenegger, the mission is clear, “Our measures are extraordinary, yes, but necessary. The higher production costs are a price we're willing to pay, for the circular economy is the call of our times.” The gauntlet has been thrown, beckoning the industry to follow suit, because as he rightly points out, “The industry must evolve – preferably sooner than later.”

Their ethos is firmly rooted in minimizing environmental impact while crafting designs that stand the test of time. With products available in over 1,000 stores across 34 countries, their footprint, both in fashion and sustainability, is global. Because at Ucon Acrobatics, the belief is that style and responsibility aren't mutually exclusive. They're two sides of the same recycled coin.

PRADA HOLIDAY 2023 CAMPAIGN *Privatesphere

PRADA HOLIDAY 2023 CAMPAIGN *Privatesphere

New Campaign
Prada Holiday 2023 Privatesphere

* Discover your own sphere

written Mark Ashkins

The Prada Holiday 2023 campaign is a tantalizing testament to the spirit of holidays, narrating a tale of an impossible voyage, a journey set squarely in one's private sphere.

Think less of a departure from reality, and more of an exploration within it.

The lens of Willy Vanderperre, adept at capturing the ethereal, unveils four celestial beings: Maya Hawke, Damson Idris, Louis Partridge, and Kim Tae-Ri. These luminaries aren't just posing; they're existing, each encapsulated within their own shimmering baubles. Enveloped within these transparent spheres, the idea of confinement transforms into an emblem of boundless personal journeys. These glistening bubbles, both tangible and abstract, morph into unique vehicles - personal shuttles on a mission to navigate the vast horizons of one's imagination.

In the background, a marvelous juxtaposition unfolds. The timeless elegance of the iconic 1913 Prada boutique in Milan's Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II merges with the futuristic allure of the cosmos. The checked marble floor is no longer just a relic of historic Italian architecture; it's the very threshold of a galaxy brimming with the promise of the unknown. Each twinkling star beckons, a siren call to the explorer within.

This campaign is both a soliloquy and a symphony. It plays to the beat of duality - the art of being wholly present in the here and now while allowing the mind to wander galaxies away. This "private sphere" is Prada's gift to the dreamers: a sanctuary that transports you to faraway realms while keeping your feet firmly grounded.

New Collaboration
Miu Miu x New Balance
* Redefines Luxe Streetwear

written Sarah Arendts

Sneaker culture has long since moved from the streets to the fashion runways, and once again, Miu Miu has brought a delightful twist to the game. In a sparkling new collaboration, the house of Miu Miu has unveiled the second edition of New Balance X Miu Miu, taking cues from the classic Church’s “Shanghai” style. But it doesn’t end there. Nestled alongside this architectural marvel, is the next big sensation - the 530 SL.

The name itself evokes memories for sneaker aficionados. Inspired by the emblematic New Balance 530 running shoe, this new iteration, in collaboration with Miu Miu, throws back to a time when sneakers began making their transition from tracks to everyday fashion. Remember the New Balance 530 from 1992? Initially gracing the world as a performance shoe, its understated design coupled with its superior suede, leather, and mesh textures swiftly landed it the title of a cult sneaker favorite.

Miu Miu, known for its quirky yet sophisticated touch, deconstructs this model to birth the ultra-flat 530 SL. A name not just alluding to its aesthetic appeal, the 'SL' stands for 'super light', elevating the shoe from just a style statement to a comfy delight.

What’s particularly intriguing is the duality that Miu Miu brings to the 530 SL. On one hand, you have an aged and distressed suede version, which exudes a warmth through its natural color palette, giving the shoe an almost vintage charm. Contrastingly, the other is a blend of unprocessed suede and mesh, parading in a timeless black and white duo.

The collaboration between New Balance and Miu Miu, which previously saw success with their take on the 574 model, is more than just a testament to their ingenuity. It’s a celebration of merging worlds - high fashion and street style, old-school charm and contemporary design, and performance with luxury.

MR PORTER x TOM FORD
* A Retro-Futuristic Fusion

written Amanda Mortenson

When two fashion behemoths collide, you best believe the tremors will be felt across the cosmos. Enter TOM FORD—a name dripping in opulence since 2005—and MR PORTER, the men's haven for all things audaciously stylish since 2011. This autumn, expect the unexpected as they drop a collaboration that's pure, unfiltered nostalgia with a 21st-century twist.

The heart of London in the 60s beats within this collection: punk and mod, chaos and class, and all the grey areas in between. We’re talking a 43-piece treasure trove that's a shoutout to an era of fearless expression, but with that ultra-modern TOM FORD sheen. From traditional English textures like puppytooth and herringbone getting a slick overhaul, to audacious pieces like the black leather and shearling peacoats—it's pure decadence.

Mr Daniel Todd, the mastermind Buying Director of MR PORTER, spills on the collab: “We’re soaking up all the vibes from London's edgy counter culture. The luxe fabrics, the textures—it's like diving headfirst into a bygone era, but with a jetpack. It's not just a collection; it's an attitude."

Ready to be shook? MR PORTER’s setting the stage for a global spectacle, ushering in this exclusive capsule. In a world of fleeting fashion moments, this partnership promises an indelible mark.

But who are the stars of this show? MR PORTER, since its inception, has been more than just a shopping destination. It's a movement. A curated selection from 500+ iconic brands, a commitment to sustainable fashion, and a space where men don’t just dress—they express.

* Jagla & King Saladeen's 2023 Sneaker Masterpiece

written Sarah Arendts

Till Jagla is synonymous with avant-garde sneaker culture. As Adidas' ex-GLOBAL HEAD OF ENERGY, he was the mastermind behind myriad collaborations that have left an indelible mark on the 20th-century footwear scene.

Now, transcending boundaries and reimagining conventions, Jagla introduces the world to Flowers For Society—a brand hewn in 2021 with a trinity of design, tech, and artistry at its core. It's not just about making statements; it's about making them responsibly. Picture sneakers birthed without animal leather, designs hailing from recycled materials, and an undying commitment to a cleaner, faster value chain. For those dialed into the digital realm, the allure of a decentralized certificate for every piece ensures authenticity is never in question.

This move, a decisive step away from Adidas, feels like Jagla unshackled, a vision unrestricted, green-lighting projects that harmoniously marry design and pop culture.

But what's a visionary without a maestro to bring that vision to life? Enter King Saladeen. Born in West Philadelphia and reigning in NYC, Saladeen's life narrative oscillates between the allure of basketball courts and the vibrant hues of art studios. From confronting life-altering tribulations to birthing the Saladeen Art Group in 2011, his journey is emblematic of sheer resilience. Collaborations with brands like Lamborghini and showcases at esteemed platforms like Art Basel attest to his unparalleled prowess.

Together, the two titans give us SEED.ONE. Not just a sneaker, but an experience. An enigmatic grey facade hides Saladeen’s masterpieces beneath layers of mesh. In this unique paradigm, the wearer morphs into an artist, deciding the amount of art they wish to reveal. This isn't just footwear—it's a dialogue between the creator and the wearer.

Every inch is replete with details that narrate tales of ambition and artistry: The "DREAM BIG" logo, Saladeen's emblematic signature, and the symbolic 427 on the heel. The accompanying apparel—a bespoke t-shirt and shorts—ensure the narrative is consistent, from tip to toe.

Each SEED.ONE x King Saladeen purchase bestows upon the owner a unique digital collectible—a nod to Saladeen’s iconic bear character.

Slimane's TOMBOY Vision melting History and Androgynous Elegance in Paris

written Sarah Arendts

In the poetic embrace of Paris's Bibliothèque Nationale, Celine's visionary creative director, Hedi Slimane, unfolds the Women Summer '24 narrative — TOMBOY. Through a mesmerizing video that's equal parts fashion and art, Slimane weaves together threads of history, architecture, and Parisian cultural zeitgeist.

Right across the rue Vivienne, where CELINE ateliers echo with the chatters of designers and artists, stands the venerable Bibliothèque Nationale de France (BNF). From its days as the royal library to its post-revolution national avatar, the BNF carries with it stories dating back to the end of the Middle Ages. This makes it the perfect canvas for a collection that is as much about the past as it is about the present.

The video showcasing TOMBOY was carefully curated within the salient architectural marvels of the BNF. From the "Salle Labrouste" — an 1861-1868 masterpiece by Henri Labrouste, now deemed a historic monument since 1983, to the “Galerie Vivienne” and the "Cour d’Honneur" with its 18th-century façade. The cinematic journey transcends beyond the library's confines, with ethereal moments captured at the Bir-Hakeim Bridge.

Hedi Slimane, the visionary director behind this collection, once again reaffirms his commitment to androgynous tailoring — a signature that's been consistent since his early design days in the late 90s. From the opening to the finale, CELINE’s TOMBOY strikes a harmonious chord between masculine flair and feminine grace, reminding us of the allure and beauty of fluid fashion.

The collection, meticulously photographed and filmed by Slimane, also pays homage to craftsmanship and sustainable practices. It's no secret that CELINE champions a strict no fur policy, opting instead for shearling. A testament to their dedication to craft can be seen in the couture jackets and dresses, each embroidered meticulously by hand.

Models donned leather headphones embossed with the emblematic CELINE Triomphe, a result of a special collaboration with Master & Dynamic.

Echoing through the architectural splendors of the BNF is the pulsating extended version of "Too Much Love" by LCD Soundsystem, a song that's etched its influence deep within the realms of indie electronic music and club scenes. The track envelops viewers, taking them on a sensory journey through the androgynous realms of TOMBOY.

The new Summer 2024 collection is a melange of architectural magnificence, historical resonance, and androgynous tailoring, crafted under the watchful eye of Hedi Slimane. In TOMBOY, we see a symphony where history, art, music, and fashion converge, promising a summer of timeless elegance.

1950s Twist on Modern Chic

The evocative charm of the 1950s was a period marked by rebellion, sensuality, and an undeniable empowerment that simmered beneath the surface. This era, with its powerful characters and bold styles, finds new life in KVRT STVFF’s audacious collection, FORBIDDEN.

Melding the past with the present, FORBIDDEN is KVRT STVFF's ode to the empowering vibes of the '50s, reimagined for the contemporary sartorial scene. Through a stark yet elegantly simple palette of black and off-white, the collection delivers a visual treat. It features progressive interpretations of volume using alternative leather and regenerated nylon, complemented by meticulous metal detailing that adds a touch of modern edge to each piece.

But this collection doesn't just stop at reviving an era. Venturing into fresh territory, KVRT STVFF introduces outerwear for the first time, marking an evolution in the brand’s trajectory. This new dimension aligns perfectly with their meticulous curation. Through a mix of digital and analog photography, FORBIDDEN's presentation mirrors the brand's ethos: a harmonious blend of nostalgia, modernity, sensuality, and power.

One might say the FORBIDDEN collection is not just clothing – it's a revolution. A revolution against norms, against fleeting trends. It champions the timeless, underscores natural beauty, and daringly pushes against conventional representations of sensuality.

But more than the materials and designs, KVRT STVFF has been a movement, a culture. It's about feeling empowered in one’s skin, and their zero-tolerance stance against shame reflects this. Each piece they craft is a shout-out to individuals everywhere, encouraging them to embrace their strength, ambitions, and uniqueness.
