COS
Spring Denim 2024

written Amanda Mortenson

COS has stepped into the spring season with a bold statement, launching a new denim collection that seamlessly blends enduring design with an emphasis on quality + sustainability.

This range is a commitment to innovation in fashion, crafted with the future of the planet in mind.

Showcasing refined cuts, experimental washes, and deconstructed details, the collection puts a contemporary spin on classic denim silhouettes. It signifies COS's dedication to not only meeting the fashion needs of its customers but also addressing environmental concerns through thoughtful design and material choices.

A standout feature of the collection is the use of more sustainable fibers, particularly TENCEL™ Lyocell. This material, derived from renewable wood sources, marks a breakthrough in eco-friendly fabric technology. The process involves sourcing wood from certified forests and converting it into fibers in a way that recycles 99% of solvents and water, dramatically reducing environmental impact.

Furthering its commitment to sustainability, COS has also embraced Recycrom™, a revolutionary dye technology that creates colors from recycled textile waste. This innovative approach not only gives new life to otherwise discarded materials but also introduces a unique palette to the collection, including a distinctive grungy blue. Paired with classic dark-wash styles and inventive laser-etching techniques that feature botanical prints, the collection is a testament to COS's dedication to creative and sustainable fashion.

The design of the collection is as innovative as its materials. In womenswear, the focus is on directional cuts and elevated finishes. Pieces feature asymmetric hems, drawstring details, subtle whiskering, and raw-cut edges, each adding a contemporary edge to the garments. The collection also nods to 2000s nostalgia with matching sets of biker jackets and maxi-length skirts, while dresses with vertical seams showcase flared outlines for an elegant structure.

Menswear in the collection presents a relaxed yet sophisticated style. Jeans designed for comfort pair seamlessly with coordinating shirts and jackets, while statement looks feature layered styling. This blend of tailoring and heritage construction in menswear emphasizes the collection's focus on longevity, crafting pieces that are meant to last beyond fleeting fashion trends.

The COS Spring Denim Collection is a movement towards responsible and sustainable design. This line invites fashion enthusiasts to not only update their style but to join a broader narrative that values ecological mindfulness as much as aesthetic appeal.

DIOR Spring/Summer 24
A Haute Couture Odyssey in the Rodin Museum

written Alban E. Smajli

The Dior Spring-Summer 2024 Haute Couture show in the Rodin Museum gardens was a spectacle where art and fashion collided in a riot of creativity.

Orchestrated by artist Isabella Ducrot, the installation "Big Aura," with its twenty-three oversized dresses, redefined the space into a vivid tableau, resonating with haute couture's grandeur.

Maria Grazia Chiuri, the maven behind Dior's women's collections, ventured into the essence of haute couture for this collection, embracing Walter Benjamin's concept of 'aura'. Each piece, unique and bespoke, was a testament to haute couture's evolution and personalization.

At the core of this narrative was the iconic "La Cigale" dress by Christian Dior from 1952. Its sculptural form and moiré fabric symbolized the sacred craft of the Atelier, merging art and apparel. The collection showcased a spectrum of iridescent hues over moiré fabric, a tribute to Christian Dior's legacy.

Chiuri's designs echoed architectural elegance. She revisited and reinterpreted details from Dior's archives, creating contemporary silhouettes that celebrated the versatility of materials, blending innovation with timelessness.

The collection show was a visual poem: Black velvet dresses flowed elegantly, while an opulent feather cape adorned an embroidered double organza dress. The Millefiori motif on a yellow moiré dress and the sway of long threads with each step illustrated the dynamic, living art.

Isabella Ducrot's "Big Aura" elevated the show, with its colossal dresses symbolizing the aura Chiuri sought to capture. The installation's presence and scale brought to mind the regality of Ottoman sultans, using exaggerated dimensions as a metaphor for haute couture's grandeur and dignity.

Ducrot's use of checkered patterns, typically associated with the ordinary, brought a fresh perspective to high fashion. This pattern, often linked to manual labor, was reimagined, challenging traditional views of value and beauty in materials.

The Dior S/S24 collection, set against the backdrop of "Big Aura," is a masterful blend of art, history, and contemporary fashion.

It´s an embodiment of haute couture's transformative power, bridging past and future, ordinary and extraordinary. Chiuri's designs and Ducrot's art made the show a testament to haute couture's enduring allure and relevance in the modern world.

VALENTINO LE CIEL 20.24
New Masculine Ethos

written Sarah Arendts

For VALENTINO's new Fall/Winter 2024/25 collection, Pierpaolo Piccioli captures the essence of the sky at dusk, distilling it into a shade of light blue that challenges and reshapes the very mold of masculinity.

This collection dares to question and overturn the traditional tenets of men's fashion, heralding a new era where color becomes a loudspeaker for personal expression and the silhouette, a canvas for innovation.

VALENTINO MEN FW24 LE CIEL 20.24 LE MILE Magazine

LE CIEL 20.24 is a manifesto, challenging the gendered connotations of color and cutting through the fabric of societal norms with a tailored blade. The Maison's new narrative threads freedom of choice with the needle of contemporary tailoring, crafting pieces that speak in volumes and tones, as varied as the sky itself.

Piccioli's VALENTINO doesn't just clothe a man; it clothes the man. The collection embraces a fluidity of form, a softness of silhouette that defies the rigid confines of traditional menswear. It's a dialogue between the delicate and the bold, where oversized coats and structured layers meet the unexpected tenderness of pastel turtlenecks peeking through.

The art of layering is redefined, allowing for an exploration of texture and tone that invites curiosity and demands a second glance. The collection’s embroidery, inspired by Renaissance stucco and the Maison's own High Relief technique, is a statement, a reimagining of masculinity that's both intricate and bold.

Piccioli's palette is an odyssey in itself, a journey from ethereal whites and greys to a crescendo of audacious lilacs, greens, and reds. These hues explode, disrupting the grayscale of winter with the ferocity of a paint-streaked rebellion.

The Maison's fabric choices are a textured narrative—cotton is elevated, suede and leather are woven into the everyday, and formalwear is infused with the casual comfort of sweatshirts and tracksuits.

It’s a high-low mix that blurs the lines between the industrial and the opulent.

Accessories are not afterthoughts; they are exclamation points. The Valentino Garavani accessories, with the new VLogo The Bold Edition and the VLogo Moon Bag, punctuate the collection. Footwear, too, from the GentleGlam to the hybrid Runboot, walks the fine line between emblematic Maison symbolism and the freshness of the street.

It´s a sartorial revolution, where the sky is not the limit, but the starting point.

Valentino´s LE CIEL 20.24 collection is a new dialect for the modern man. Piccioli rewrites the narrative of masculinity with a collection that dares to be soft, to be romantic, to be intuitive.

Maison Kitsuné Spring/Summer 2024
Born a Flâneur

written Amanda Mortenson

Paris, the timeless city of arts, the cradle of bohemian dreams and avant-garde elegance, finds itself once again at the heart of sartorial conversation.

Maison Kitsuné unveils its Spring 2024 campaign, a tribute to the city that never ceases to inspire. This season, it’s all about capturing the spirit of the flâneur, the quintessentially Parisian art of leisurely strolling through the city's vibrant streets, observing the tapestry of life unfolding in real-time.

In this first chapter of the campaign, Maison Kitsuné takes us on a journey through Paris' iconic landscapes. The brand reimagines the flâneur, not just as a literary figure but as a modern-day muse for the urban dweller. It's an invitation to slow down, to absorb the kinetic energy of the city, to find inspiration in the mundane and the magnificent that coexist in the Parisian alleys.

The collection itself is a masterclass in understated cool. It’s a blend of urban essentials that speaks to the heart of the city dweller. Heavy on denim, a tribute to the versatile fabric of the metropolis, the pieces range from Abstract Daisy prints to echoes of Japanese workwear. The preppy knits, slouched nonchalantly over pinstriped pieces, redefine classic tailoring.

In a bold move, Maison Kitsuné spotlights emerging talents Pierre de Maere and Lomijoh as the faces of this campaign. Pierre de Maere, one of 2023’s most captivating artists, brings his distinctive style and charismatic presence to the forefront. His debut album "Regarde-moi" has already created ripples worldwide, and his connection to Paris adds an authentic touch to the campaign. Originally from Belgium, Pierre’s affinity with Paris mirrors the journey of many artists who find solace and inspiration in this city’s embrace.

Lomijoh, a French-Cameroonian singer, infuses the women's collection with her rebellious spirit. Caught mid-stroll in the Parisian streets, she perfectly embodies the modern flâneur, mixing and matching key pieces from the season. The highlight? The poetic Floating Flowers print and a new crochet logo knit vest that are as much a statement of fashion as they are of independence and artistic freedom.

FEDERICO CINA

Colors of Nothing / Fall 2024

written Monica de Luna

Federico Cina's Fall/Winter 24-25 collection, Colors of Nothing, brilliantly captures the dynamic interplay of innovation and tradition in the fashion world.

This profound narrative of change, acceptance, and the essence of being, resonates deeply with the themes of brutalist architecture and the minimalist philosophy of ornamentation. Cina's latest offering is a masterful expression of transformative vision, seamlessly blending contemporary ideas with timeless allure.

The collection, a harmonious amalgamation of inspirations ranging from Adolf Loos's functional simplicity to Bill Viola's transformative artistry, and Salvatore Settis's classical touch, is a testament to Cina's ability to weave diverse influences into a cohesive sartorial statement. The runway, transformed into a minimalist landscape, set the stage for a journey through the physical and emotional layers of change.

The models seemed to emerge from an intangible fog, their forms becoming more defined with each step, mirroring life's journey from uncertainty to clarity. Federico Cina's designs, characterized by their stark lines and vivid cuts, spoke volumes of a renewed geometric precision. The show was a narrative woven in fabric, a story of shedding the old to embrace the essential self. The rigid construction of jackets and coats symbolized the structural integrity of self-discovery, akin to the iron framework of a building standing tall against the winds of change.

The fabric choices further emphasized this theme of transformation. With compact weaves that held folds as if set in concrete, the collection echoed the brutalist appreciation for raw, unadorned surfaces. The color palette, a blend of stone, fog, and the occasional burst of color, was not just a visual choice but an emotional exploration, representing the winter of life cut through with the colors of growth and evolution.

A key highlight of the collection was the Tortellino bag, a piece that brilliantly symbolized the merging of tradition and modernity. This accessory, with its soft yet sculptural structure, epitomized the collection's theme of transformation, marrying the classic with the contemporary.

Emporio Armani ATLANTIC
Charting New Sartorial Horizons in Fall/Winter 2024/25

written Sarah Arendts

Emporio Armani's Fall/Winter 2024/25 Men’s Collection, christened Atlantic, is a narrative woven into the very fabric of maritime adventure and open-minded exploration. Set against the backdrop of a wintry, tumultuous sea, the collection takes us on a sartorial voyage across the rugged elegance of oceanic life, merging the realms of the seafarer with urban sophistication.

LE MILE Magazine Emporio Armani Mens Fashion show FW 24 Marine

As models walked the runway, transformed into a ship's deck, each step echoed the collection's central theme - a journey across the ocean.

The models, dressed as sailors, cabin boys, engineers, and officers, brought to life a maritime epic through the unmistakable lens of Armani's aesthetic. The silhouettes were bold and unapologetic, with broad, well-defined shoulders 'anchored' by lace-ups with high soles, transforming into soft boots when paired with gaiters. This interplay of style and functionality was a nod to the ruggedness and practicality of sea life.

The harbourside elegance was palpable in every piece - long coats, abbreviated jackets, trousers with generous volumes, and greatcoats, all reminiscent of those brave enough to cross seas. Leather sailor jackets and hats paid homage to a timeless dress code, while gilets and bibs layered over jackets and peacots added layers of functionality. In a striking departure from convention, shirts were replaced by tops in matching fabrics to blazers and trousers, presenting a new, decisive monochrome uniform.

Emporio Armani's palette for "Atlantic" was a deep, mysterious mix of navy blue, steel grey, ice white, and midnight black, reflecting the profound depths of the ocean. This chromatic narrative was enhanced with tweed motifs, pinstriping, and flocking, all unified in singular color schemes. The metallic embroidery on jackets, shirts, and coats added an adventurous flair, reminiscent of the sea's transformative impact on ships.

A standout feature of the collection was its bold approach to gender fluidity. Emporio Armani redefined traditional gender boundaries by adapting and re-proportioning select garments for women, blending them seamlessly into the collection. This radical move not only challenged the norms of masculine and feminine fashion but did so with a natural elegance, epitomizing Armani's commitment to exploring new horizons in fashion and identity.

Bags resembling hand luggage with robust mesh details, and large seabags, were integral parts of the collection's narrative. For women, the incorporation of stiletto heels alongside rugged attire boldly stated that strength and femininity are not at odds but can coexist harmoniously.

Louis Vuitton x Carlos Alcaraz
A Grand Slam of Style in a Trunk

written Abraham Cruzado

Paris, the city of lights, fashion, and now, an iconic fusion of sports and luxury. In a move that blurs the lines between athletic prowess and high-end fashion, Louis Vuitton has teamed up with Carlos Alcaraz, the powerhouse behind the 2022 US Open and 2023 Wimbledon victories, to craft a piece that's more than just a trunk – it's a treasure chest of memories and style.

This is a bespoke Malle Vestiaire, personalized to house Alcaraz's precious memorabilia and equipment. Drawing upon Louis Vuitton’s rich 170-year legacy in trunk-making, this masterpiece has been brought to life by seasoned artisans and is about crafting a legacy, one where grand slams meet grand style.

Envision a trunk, its skeleton made of carefully selected wood, swathed in the classic Monogram canvas, a hallmark of Louis Vuitton's heritage. But here's the twist – it's adorned with a unique logo inspired by Alcaraz's glittering career, each stroke of the hand-painted exterior narrating a story of triumph and passion.

The inside of the trunk is as luxurious as its exterior, featuring five microfiber-lined drawers, each with a tactile natural cowhide handle, and a central drawer, a nod to the historic Secrétaire Linge trunks. It a walk down memory lane with compartments holding the very Nike shirt and shoes Alcaraz donned during his Wimbledon win, not to mention one of his trusty Babolat rackets.

But the Alcaraz-Louis Vuitton saga doesn't end here. The trunk is a cornucopia of the tennis star’s personal LV favorites – think a chic blue Louis Vuitton Speedy P9 Bag, a gift from none other than Louis Vuitton Men’s Creative Director Pharrell Williams, and those covetable LV x Nike AF1s. Sprinkled within are Louis Vuitton accessories: tennis balls, Horizon Light Up earphones, a portable LV Nanogram speaker, a Dopp Kit toiletry bag, and a Nice Mini vanity case. This trunk is a mini-universe, a blend of sport, music, and luxury travel, with Louis Vuitton City Guides for New York and London as cherries on top.

In Alcaraz's words, this collaboration with Louis Vuitton's artisans is a “great experience and a privilege.” The trunk isn't just a container; it's a capsule of his greatest moments and a showcase of his style.

Miu Miu has always danced to the beat of its own drum, and in 2024, the beat is all about sustainable and upcycled chic with a nod to heritage.

The launch of Miu Miu's fourth limited edition Upcycled collection – featuring Denim and Patch bags – is a testament to the brand's enduring commitment to circular fashion. But that's not all. The Miu Miu Upcycled story, born in 2020, is about the narrative woven into each thread, the echoes of past lives that once adorned these fabrics. This collection, particularly the Denim line, is a homage to the enduring spirit of pre-2000 jeans. Sourced globally from denim connoisseurs, these pieces are chosen for their unique color, weight, and the intimate tales told by their fading patterns. Denim, a fabric celebrated for its durability and the beauty of its ageing, becomes the canvas for Miu Miu's creative expression.

Each garment, whether it's a reimagined wide-legged jean, a trucker jacket, or even the quaint bra tops and shorts, is a testament to the brand's dedication to circularity. The process is meticulous – preserving the outer seams before skillfully deconstructing and fashioning them into something new, yet familiar.

This is not just upcycling; it's a celebration of the garment's history, its journey, and its potential for a new narrative.

Drawing inspiration from the 1950s, Miu Miu reinterprets these vintage styles with a modern twist. Silk chiffon petals, facetted beads, and black crystals set in antique metal bring a touch of nostalgia, each painstakingly hand-sewn onto the garments.

And for the first time, the Upcycled project extends its arms to embrace bags. The Patch bag collection, crafted from leather remnants of previous Miu Miu designs, is an ode to the brand's legacy – transforming the existent into something extraordinary, rich with history and meaning.

The campaign, featuring actor Ever Anderson and model Huijia Chen, and captured by photographer Jet Swan, is a visual symphony of character and cloth. It's not just about the garments but the stories they tell and the personalities they embody. It’s a series of captured moments, each unique, each telling a different story.

New Era of Timeless Fashion

written Monica Mortenson

The new Prada Spring/Summer 2024 campaign, Days of Prada, stands as a vibrant testament to the enduring values and timeless elegance in an era often dominated by fleeting trends and fabricated narratives.

Under the visionary leadership of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, this campaign transcends the typical confines of fashion, weaving a narrative that celebrates the essence of style within the fabric of everyday life.

Central to Days of Prada is the reimagined concept of the fashion show. Traditionally a transient spectacle, Prada elevates it to a season-long narrative, transforming the runway into a rich ecosystem of meaning and diversity. This campaign delves into the dual nature of fashion – as both a personal badge of individuality and a communal symbol, merging momentary glamour with enduring style. It prompts a reflection on the integral role of fashion in our daily lives, skillfully blending the transient allure of the runway with the lasting impact of authentic style.

Capturing the soul of this campaign are the honest and pure portraits by photographer Willy Vanderperre. Each of the 40 models, a blend of familiar and new faces, is showcased in a balance of spontaneous intimacy and refined formalism. These portraits are form part of a collective narrative: they reflect the procession of the fashion show and engage in a broader conversation about fashion as a personal and communal expression.

Further enriching the campaign's narrative is Prada's foray into the world of cinema. Highlighting three internationally acclaimed actors – Harris Dickinson, Kelvin Harrison Jr., and Troye Sivan – the campaign celebrates their unique personal characters. Here, fashion and personal narrative intersect, with each man portrayed not just as a model but as a protagonist of their own story.

This campaign reminds us that fashion is not an isolated art form but a collaborative journey, a collective profession enriched by the diverse stories it weaves together.

Celestial Threads and Global Waves

In a spectacular ode to cultural connectivity and the celestial dance of fashion, Louis Vuitton's Pre-Fall 2024 Men's Collection, designed and curated by it´s Creative Director Pharrell Williams, takes us on a journey from the sandy shores of Hawaii to the vibrant streets of Hong Kong.

LE MILE presents an exclusive exploration of this groundbreaking collection that seamlessly intertwines lunar influences, maritime aesthetics, and a celebration of global unity.

The collection unfolds as a narrative of energy-conveying garments, transcending continents and embracing the harmonious fusion of diverse influences. Pharrell Williams crafts pieces that become conduits of cultural exchange, connecting wearers to the essence of faraway beaches and vibrant city life.

Against the mesmerizing backdrop of the Avenue of Stars on Victoria Harbour, the Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2024 Men's Collection Show symbolizes the mind-expanding power of travel. The waterfront setting becomes a canvas for the celestial navigation theme, grounding Pharrell Williams' coastal upbringing in Virginia Beach.

The sailor's tale unfolds in a dandy silhouette that pays homage to the sailor's uniform. Navy aesthetics, maritime stripes, and pearl-adorned buttons create a unique language within fashion, with graphics and crests morphing into tattoos of seafarers. The narrative explores the interconnected nature of the world's waterways and the trade routes shaping global cultures.

Neptune's influence, embodied by unexpected elements and a latticed LV logo, adds a touch of Roman mythology to the collection. Williams interprets indigo denim, pearls, and washed-black workwear, infusing patterns inspired by floral shirts typical of Hawaii. This nod to Neptune reflects the lakes and fishermen of Virginia, grounding the collection in maritime symbolism.

Louis Vuitton's commitment to innovation extends to groundbreaking footwear, such as the two-tone leather LV Dandy loafer and the revolutionary 3D-printed slip-on, LV COBRA. Bags, sunglasses, and accessories, including Surfing Monogram adornments and Super Vision sunglasses, echo maritime influences.

Wooden beads, ukulele pendants, and crochet hats add a touch of resort living, creating a cohesive narrative of global wanderlust. Williams designs a dynamic cast, embodying the human connections within the collection, while the melodic "Airplane Tickets" soundtrack adds a unique layer to this immersive experience.

New Collaboration
Commission &PaulSmith
* Tribute to Archival Style & Generational Fashion

written Sarah Arendts

In the vanguard of sartorial innovation, a new collaboration emerges, blending the storied heritage of British design with the pulsating edge of New York's modern aesthetic.

The &PaulSmith series, renowned for its discerning partnerships, presents its latest venture: a limited-edition collection with the NYC-based label Commission, a dynamic fusion of archival inspiration and generational homage.

The inception of this alliance took root through the CFDA's discerning eye, planting seeds of creative camaraderie between Paul Smith and Commission's co-founders, Dylan Cao and Jin Kay. Smith, with his repository of British design ethos, finds kinship in the diasporic narrative of Cao and Kay, whose design philosophy is a tender nod to their East Asian heritage and the professional panache of the 90s.

The collection, christened ‘Commission &PaulSmith,’ unfolds as a narrative thread, binding the familial bonds of 'Father & Son' — a photographic anthology by Paul and his late father Harold Smith. The book's visual dialogues mirror the collection's essence, where Harold's "light, witty juxtapositions" meet Paul's poignant snapshots. This correlation with Cao and Kay's generational musings solidifies the collection's undercurrent.

Diving into the Paul Smith archives, the duo resurrects the vigor of the late 90s — a period Smith himself describes with evident zeal: “Tapping into new ideas is exactly why I wanted to start the &PaulSmith series, and Commission is brimming with them.” The admiration is mutual, as Dylan and Jin reflect on the archive's "mash-up of preppy, sex, and post-punk" aesthetics that profoundly resonate with their own ethos.

The tangible fruits of this collaboration are 22 masterpieces. From the sweeping wool-cashmere overcoat to the butter yellow leather field jacket, each piece is an exaggerated echo of the past, reimagined for the contemporary wardrobe. The designers inject a sense of nostalgia into the oversized silhouettes, while the color palette, rich in browns, yellows, and blacks, is electrified with vibrant reds, blues, and greens.

Distinctive to Commission are the "fatherly stripes" and the audacious red flourishes, alongside coats that reinterpret the classic mac in fabrics like padded cotton-jersey and gabardine. Their signature back yoke shape design stands as a testament to their inventive tailoring. Commission's roots in punk aesthetics intertwine with Americana through raw denim and embroidered monograms, evoking Paul Smith's own handwritten logos.

The collection will be an emblem of sartorial storytelling and a homage to cross-generational dialogue. It's not merely about the garments but the stories they embody. As Smith himself mentors Commission in business development, one sees not just a collection being crafted but a legacy being woven.

Cruise Collection 2024
* Enchantment of Isola Bella Unveiled

written Abraham Cruzado

In the resplendent embrace of Isola Bella's Baroque allure, Louis Vuitton unveils a voyage of opulence, style, and mystique with its Cruise 2024 campaign.

The evocative Italian island, with its echoes of ancient legends and ripples of watery folklore, comes alive in a fresh narrative. This season, it's not just about the clothes or accessories; it's about the story they weave in the heart of a place so enriched with history.

English actress Emma Laird, making her campaign debut for the Maison, seems almost like a dreamer stepping into a world unknown. The opening scenes are draped in the soft golden hues of dawn, evoking an ambiance of hesitant exploration and deep-seated curiosity. Adorned in a resplendent piece from Nicolas Ghesquière’s Cruise collection, and with the coveted GO-14 bag elegantly slung over her shoulder, Laird embarks on a journey, making the island's hidden narratives her own.

Yet, she isn't alone in this whimsical exploration. Adding to the canvas of elegance and allure are models Mica Arganaraz, Valentina Castro, Ida Heiner, and Chu Wong. Each face and figure uniquely intertwines with the island's essence, manifesting the fantastical aura of the collection. The synergy is palpable; fashion and folklore dancing together in a timeless embrace.

The visuals curated by Jamie Hakesworth don't merely capture outfits; they encapsulate the very essence of Isola Bella. An island where the stories of the Borromeo family are whispered by the winds and the aquatic legends echo in every ripple of Lake Maggiore. This wasn't the Maison’s first tryst with the island. Earlier in May, the ethereal grounds of Isola Bella played host to the Louis Vuitton Cruise show. A blend of high fashion and dreamy narratives, the show was a heady mix of all things whimsical and wonderful.

It´s a time when memories are painted with gold-tinted brushes, when nostalgia intertwines with contemporary hopes, and where dreamscape fashions find a cherished spot under the flickering candlelight, it´s Holiday season!

Miu Miu´s Holiday collection stands as a beacon of this sentiment - weaving intimacy with glamour, and charm with audacious style.

Ensconced within the walls of a private abode, Miu Miu Holiday unfolds its narrative, a realm brimming with infinite potential. And who better to epitomize this sentiment than the effervescent Emma Corrin? The actor, lauded for her nuanced performances, adorns the collection with a grace only she can offer.

Picture this: a tranquil room, with plush carpets underfoot, and the air imbued with the storied aroma of antiques, each whispering tales from an era gone by. In this intimate setting, Corrin radiates an unparalleled poise. She's the modern woman - discerning, self-assured, and unapologetically herself.

But what truly sets the mood is Miu Miu's exquisite lineup. Fluid black cady flows seamlessly into tactile tweeds, while sparkling organza, adorned with crystal, teases the senses. The gloss of leather harmonizes with soft cashmere and jersey, each piece exuding a freedom, a spirited dance between vintage elegance and contemporary comfort. The reinvention doesn't stop there. Classic cardigan jackets and pencil skirts - be it micro-mini or knee-length - playfully layer over delicate lingerie, birthing juxtapositions that both intrigue and delight.

But Miu Miu's journey this Holiday isn't solitary. A harmonious collaboration with Marshall breathes life into iconic products, while a partnership with Polaroid introduces cameras enhanced with Miu Miu's signature touch via branded web camera straps.

Helmed by the astute eyes of art director Edward Quarmby and captured through the lens of photographer Zoë Ghertner, each frame is a testament to a vision. A vision steered by stylist Lotta Volkova, whose keen sense for details paints a canvas that's both vintage and vivacious.

In Miu Miu's Holiday world, the past isn't left behind; it's revered, reimagined, and reintroduced for today. It's a celebration of savoir-faire and modern innovation, a tribute to the timeless charms of glamour and elegance, and most importantly, a nod to the present and a wink at the future.

* When Mountain Dreamscapes Converse with Reality

written Monica Mortenson

A dreamlike place where snow-capped peaks kiss the azure skies and where time seems to hold its breath. It's here, in this serene valley nestled in Switzerland, that the story of Prada Linea Rossa Fall/Winter 2023 unfolds, narrating a compelling saga of action and imagination.

Guided by the artistic hand of Kris Lüdi, the campaign is more than just an advertisement; it's a journey. With visuals deeply rooted in the reality of high-performance sportswear - those masterfully crafted for winter sports - the campaign encapsulates the essence of this season's offerings.

But here’s where the narrative delves deeper: the resonant echoes of a poem in the region's native Romansh language set a profound tone. As every word sinks in, the viewer is transported between two worlds – the tangible and the dreamy.

In Engadin’s ethereal backdrop, the campaign crafts a confluence of contrasts. Traditional snowboarding gracefully co-exists with the adrenalin-pumping skeleton bobsleigh and speed skating. This dance of contrasts extends to the auditory experience as well – classical music takes an unexpected leap into the electrifying beats of modern grime.

The visuals too traverse time. Razor-sharp digital shots weave seamlessly with the nostalgic grain of film footage, leaving the viewer intrigued and reflective. Can the past morph into the present? With Prada Linea Rossa’s avant-garde perspective, it can. And not just morph – it can be reborn, refreshed, and reimagined.

Positioned at the nexus of high-end fashion and sportswear, it creates not just attire, but an experience. It encourages viewers to challenge perspectives, to meld the real with the surreal, and to dream afresh.

In this world of contrasts, Prada Linea Rossa Fall/Winter 2023 is an invitation; an invitation to journey through a terrain where fashion transcends, sport inspires, and where dreamscapes converse effortlessly with reality.
